The whole line is divine and was inspired by the essence of Louisiana life and Southern hospitality. Gretchen Halpin, founder and president of Soothe Your Senses, started the company in a quaint turn of the century cottage in a small Louisiana town of moss covered trees and Lake Pontchatrain breezes.

Gretchen was Inspired to carry on the tradition of her grandfather, Lawrence Mathieu, a Creole Traiteur (a healer) who used natural herbs, potions and poultices to heal and prevent sickness for family, friends and neighbors who couldn't afford medical treatment in Lucy, Louisiana.
